Femistent Vesta Dilators
Femistent Vesta dilators (patents pending) are our most straightforward and least expensive range of dilators. They were designed by Femistent primarily to meet the requirements of those who have been diagnosed as suffering from Vaginismus or Dyspareunia. They are a single part dilator displaying many of the Femistent special design features, such as the friendly colours, the carefully shaped nose form and a single depth measurement groove. A picture of a Vesta dilator (lagoon colour) is shown below.  It is well known that Vaginismus and Dyspareunia are very distressing conditions for all those concerned. But if treated professionally they can usually be cured. However, during treatment the last thing one wants to be worrying about is clumsy or difficult to use dilators. Femistent Vesta dilators are high quality products made from high performance medical grade material. They are nicely contrasting colours, pleasant to handle and easy to clean. Since each dilator is a solid integral unit, there is no ungainly assembly involved either before or after using them. In addition, there are no sharp edges, protruding corners or deep difficult to clean pockets. Vesta dilators, like all Femistent dilators, are specifically designed to be easy, comfortable and pleasant to use. Vesta dilators (see Figure 7) are available in four diameters from 22.5 mm (7/8”) to 36.5 mm (1.7/16”) and two colours Sunglow and Lagoon. All Vesta dilators are 175.0 mm (7") long with a carefully designed nose form and a single depth measurement groove at 87.5mm (3½") from the tip. These dilators may only be purchased in sets of the four different diameters available. As with all Femistent dilators the Vesta dilators are intended to be easy and effective to use and keep clean, and are shipped with a copy of the latest version of the Femistent comprehensive illustrated Usage Advice Document (see below). As with Femistent Lara dilators it is not possible to assemble a Vesta dilator to a Femistent Grip. All Vesta dilators are manufactured from solid rods of Tecaform AH MT plastic. This is an FDA approved medical grade plastic which has met the requirements for bio-compatibility according to USP Class VI. The dilators have been designed for a long life and to withstand aggressive cleaning such as regularly being put into a domestic dishwasher or occasionally boiled in water. Neverthless if this material was cleaned in an autoclave, it would start to deteriorate. However this should not be a problem since autoclaves are not found in many homes.

Usage Advice Document (UAD) All Femistent Vesta Sets of dilators are shipped with a free copy of the Femistent comprehensive illustrated Usage Advice Document. The UAD comprises 40 pages of useful information about how to use and clean your Femistent dilators. (N.B. Vesta dilators should be cared for as though they are Lara dilators since they are manufactured from the same material). Also included within the UAD are some generalised tips about how you can prepare to dilate safely and effectively, and some ideas of how to prepare for major vaginal surgeries, such as vaginoplasty.
